This illustration is from Dale Evan's Prayer Book for Children. It reminds me of my childhood Easters, wearing a new dress my mom made, attending my Grandparent's church where my parents met, with all my Aunts, uncles, and cousins. The old ladies always commented on how much we had grown.
I'll never forget the lady's lounge. It was a small room, with a big red velvet couch, which lead to the restroom. It was always crowded with ladies consoling each other, asking for prayer, and encouraging one other. This is where my Grandmothers would discuss scripture, sometimes even debate it. From my point of view, as a little girl, God was always in the lady's lounge.
