In a horrific downpour we rescued a kitty trapped in the corner of a chain link fence that circled the school yard across the street from our home. He was soaking wet and covered in mud. When every attempt to find his owners failed we kept him and named him Stormy.
My children and I had a tradition of having tea most days about three o'clock. One afternoon we decided to make it a picnic on the back patio back patio. I laid out a quilt and brought out the tea. Stormy walked up beside me, wrapped his tail around his front paws and helped himself to my English Breakfast with milk and sugar. I took his picture that became the inspiration for this teacup greeting card.
Stormy was all white with blue eyes. Because his white fur didn't contrast well with the white teapot and cups, I painted a classic orange coat which contrasts well with the blue background and the Orange Pekoe teabag from Harney & Sons inserted in the rim of the teapot.
