If you want to participate in a Tea Swap that's also steeped in tradition, my first swap is right around the corner. August & September's Tea Swap titled "Summer - School" celebrates summer and school days traditions.
August "Summertime" Swap.
The lazy days of Summer never seem to be completely carefree as the
trips and activities we plan quickly fill up the month, but the
memories are always lasting. For this swap include:
- 6 teabags
- Share a short story about your favorite tea room adventure, what you had, who was there, and why it was memorable. Or share what tearoom you would like to visit someday.
- Share a favorite tea time recipe.
It might also be fun to share about a Summertime tradition or include
tourist trinkets that your swap partner might find if they visited
your area this summer: a postcard, magnet, map, souvenir, or photo of
an historical or local attraction (optional).
September "School Days": It's back to school
time. Can you remember getting ready, or getting the kids ready, for
the big day with a stack of new books and a bagged lunch with a note
tucked inside? This tea swap includes:
- 6 teabags
- Tell about who taught you to appreciate tea. Did your family drink tea or are you a first generation tea drinker?
- Share a family tradition that revolves around tea. Or share a teatime story where you learned something new about tea or serving tea.
It might also be fun to tell about a favorite school day experience
and include small school supplies, gold stars, or candy (optional).
