Can I share with you what my kids and I did one year for Valentine's Day in my neighborhood?
Having just moved in we didn't know many of our neighbors, which are a mix of seniors and young families.
We made little cards similar to the ones shown here, put them in a plastic bag with Dove chocolates, and tied a ribbon at the top with a loop. With the kids wagon loaded, we walked through the neighborhood secretly hanging a greeting on each door.
Not sure what to expect, we made a wonderful discovery. There are several widows in my neighborhood who had not received a Valentine's card for some time. You can imagine how surprised they were to find a card on their door.
It was very fun!
The cards shown here are my new "Friendly Valentine's Day Greeting Set". Each comes with a little matching pin attached and a white envelope.
